The Group is the first to have introduced
from Sweden the TRIBON shipbuilding software and the advanced
CAD technology "Building up product three-dimensional
electronic model" into Chinese shipbuilding sector, and
has thus greatly increased design efficiency and accuracy.

The Broup has been
listed by the Shanghai Municipality and the State as one of the
"Exemplary Enterprises in 863 Hi-tech CIMS Application".
Thanks to the close combination of Modern Integrated Manufacture
(CIM) with the

establishment of modern shipbuilding
pattern in enterprises, the application of the shipbuilding
CIMS has brought forth a distinct effect and taken a leading
position in this field both at home and abroad. The Group
currently boasts over 800 computers and 100 main models of
TRIBON shipbuilding design softward. Furthermore, the Group
possesses over 10 NC machine tools, such as large NC gantry
millers and 9 plasma cutters. There are one state-level technology
center and 7 research institutes in the Group.
